Co Ownership

Co ownership, like business partnerships and marriage, has gotten a bad rep. Because of my experience with Patti of Firebaugh Shelties, I think it is a wonderful way to keep the lines in good hands, have a helping hand in the breeding/showing process, and have a mutual benefit to both parties. I received wonderful advice, a great pedigree, help when I needed it, the female blue merle I had been waiting for, and she now has a great show puppy on his way to CH. It was a win win situation all around, and that’s why if I have a show prospect female that I would consider keeping, she may be offered in a co-ownership agreement.

The dog would be yours physically - it is only the breeding and showing that the co-owner may have a say in.

If you would like a written copy of the “basic” co-ownership agreement for most dogs, please contact me.

If you just want a pet and have no interest in showing or breeding, then this is not for you. If you want to get the right dog for showing and breeding, then this is worth looking into.
